8 How to Overcome Anxiety when an exam

Learning when the exam is certainly very different from the usual. When test any pressure itself. The intensity of learning is also increasing. It's getting heavy pressure when taking a test. We are required to be focused and careful. Anxiety also appeared well before the test begins, when the exam, and after completion. Anxiety is often distract us.


Daniel K. Hall-Flavin, MD, a psychiatrist at the Mayo Clinic provides some tips to help reduce anxiety:

1. Learn how to learn efficiently
Each school usually has its own techniques and ways to help students understand the lesson. You will feel more relaxed if you could systematically study and practice materials to be tested.

2. Form a habit
Form a learning method that you think suitable and effective and do it every time you will do a test. This method will reduce your stress levels and help ensure that you have prepared everything well.

3. Learn relaxation techniques
There are several things you can do right before and during tests to help you remain calm and confident. Do some relaxation techniques such as deep breath, muscle relaxation, or close your eyes and imagine a positive outcome.

4. Do not forget to eat and drink
Just like the muscles in the body, the brain needs fuel to continue to function. Eat enough so you do not feel hungry when taking tests. Avoid sugary drinks such as soda pop is too high, which can cause blood sugar to go up and down. Also avoid caffeinated beverages like coffee because it can increase anxiety.

5. Sport
Regular aerobic exercise, and exercise before the exam, it can help to release tension.

6. Enough sleep
Sleep is directly related to academic achievement. Teens and teens are especially important to get enough sleep and regular.

7. Establish communication with teachers
Make sure you understand anything that will be tested and know exactly how to prepare. Let the teacher know if you're anxious. Because then, maybe he will give me advice or help you unwind.

8. Professional counselor
